SecureCRT and Catalina - public key authentication file/folder location

After upgrading to Mac OS 10.15 Catalina, my public key authentication to my server no longer works. I get the error "The private key file could not be found: /Users/<username>/.ssh/identity

I have stored in a separate text file both the private key and public key for the server I want to ssh into, but I can't figure out where in secure CRT to specify public/private keys, or how to import them into a new connection.

Hi nevilleaga,

As a note, the first version with official support for Catalina (10.15.x) is v8.7, currently in public beta release. Official release is currently scheduled for February 11, but subject to change.

Did you change user profiles when you upgraded the OS?

Globally, you can configure publickey auth in the SSH2 category of Global Options. If specifying publickey auth on a session basis, go to the Connection / SSH2 category of Session Options, choose PublicKey in the Authentication grouping, then press the Properties... button. Be sure to enable the Use session public key setting radio button if appropriate. You would enable Use identity or certificate file and then browse to the key file using the "" button.
