Presently you can if using Tiles (Window menu), but not Tabs or Tab Groups.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add support for mixed tab groups (horizontal and vertical at the same time). Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #12506" in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.

Are you referring to multiple SecureCRT application windows?

Or do you have, for example, five connected tabs in one SecureCRT window and want to send commands only to three of those tabs?

==> i want to send commands only to three of those tabs.
for example, there are 10 connected tabs in one secureCRT window.
and i can see two terminal's output with tab group window.
others are background session.(i can't see terminal output.)

and what i really want to is just send command to terminals that i can see terminal output.(foregroup terminal).

Hi Dalhyun,

If using v8.0.x or earlier and using tabs (or tab groups), locked tabs do not receive the commands sent by Command Window (when Send Commands to All Sessions is enabled). You can lock a tab by right-clicking on it and choosing Lock Session....

As of v8.1, there will be additional options for the Send Commands menu:
  • Active Session - Send commands only to the active session. This is the default.
  • All Sessions - Send commands to all your open sessions at once.
  • Selected Tab Group(s) - Send commands to one or more tab groups. This setting is automatically selected when you right-click on a tab and enable Send Commands to This Group. When commands are being sent to selected tab groups, the tabs of the sessions that commands will be sent to contain an asterisk in front of the session name.
  • Visible Sessions - Send commands to all visible tabbed sessions. When there are multiple tab groups, commands will be sent to the currently active session in each tab group.
The beta release cycle for version 8.1 should begin in a few weeks. Beta versions can be downloaded from our website here once available.
