not display text on the CRT Screen

hi experts,

When I telnet Juniper ERX router, the CRT window can not display text, except I put the Enter key.
but when I telnet other equipment, it is normal.

could anybody tell me the reason? and does it refer to the ERX box ?

thanks.

/ Shawn

Hi Shawn,

If I understand correctly, nothing that you type is displayed in the terminal window until you 'Enter' the key.

Is this correct?

If so, it appears that the remote may not be echoing the typed characters back to CRT.

If this is the case, turning on the 'Local Echo' option in the 'Advanced' sub-category under 'Emulation' in the 'Session Options' in CRT 5.x and newer should show the text you are typing.

Was this the option needed?

If my understanding was not correct, could you tell me more about what is happening?
