"Pacing" Of String Output (crt.Screen.Send)

(Disclaimer : I know this might not be a "true" scripting issue, but here goes...)

In SecureCRT, is there a mechanism to "pace" the flow of characters to a host? The host to which I'm connected doesn't have (or the intermediate terminal servers don't) flow control either configured correctly or not at all and I need to slow down the character flow to the host.

Telnet <-> Terminal Server <-> Host (9600/8N1).

I just want it to send my strings SLOWER.

Ideas, please?

Hi ZedCP,

It is possible to slow the transmission of characters between SecureCRT and the Terminal Server by using the 'Character send delay' option. Increasing this delay will slow the sending of the characters to the Terminal Server.

In SecureCRT 6.0.x and higher, this option is located in the 'Advanced' sub-category under 'Emulation' in the 'Session Options'.

In 5.x versions, this option is in the 'Global Options' in the 'Advanced' sub-category under 'Terminal. In these version, the delay will affect ALL sessions.
