terminal appearance problem

I just upgraded to 6.1.1 (build 383) and am now having some terminal emulation problems. In session options I have Terminal->Emulation set to Xterm, "ANSI colors" enabled, and "use color scheme" enabled. The colors look fine until I run a program that has it's own ansi color scheme (like vi). I have a grey backgroupnd and black foreground with regular ansi colors for ls (directories are blue, executables are green, etc). See the attached scr1.jpg. When I edit a file in vi, it loads its color scheme (torte in my case) but the vi color scheme only applies to the contents (ie, whith 80 columns displayed, a line with 10 characters has those 10 characters using the vi color scheme, and the other 70 using the SecureCRT color scheme). See the attached scr3.jpg. After exiting vi, the vi color scheme is still in effect for my shell prompt and shell commands until I run ls. See the attached scr2.jpg.

Hi justin_g,

I concur with MrC's diagnosis of the issue. We have a newer build of SecureCRT that has addressed issues similar to the behavior you have described.

Please send an email to support@vandyke.com with a subject of 'Attn: Todd - forum thread #3269', so that I can make this newer build available to you via download.

Hi justin_g,

Would you send a raw log file to support@vandyke.com with a subject of "Attn: Todd forum thread #3269"?
To create a raw log:
1. Before connecting with the session, select Raw
Log Session from CRT's File menu.

2. In the Select Log File dialog, choose a folder
and filename in which you would like the log
text to be stored and click the Save button.
At this point, if you open the File menu, you
will notice that Raw Log Session now has a
check-mark next to it; this indicates that raw
logging is activated.

3. Now connect to the remote machine and perform the
actions which cause the reported problem to occur.

4. Disconnect the session and select Raw Log Session
from the File menu to turn off the raw log feature.

5. Browse to the location of the raw log file and
attach it to your reply.
