Force SecureCRT to use Windows Python
Hello,
Is there any option to force SecureCRT to use local installed Python on Windows instead of the included in SecureCRT? Br |

Hi w00t,
Sorry, not presently. I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database for the ability to use third-party Python interpreter SecureCRT/Windows. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

I see, do you have any input on how to use Python-scripts with SecureCRT that uses external libraries? Like ciscoconfparse.

Hi w00t,
Sorry for not expanding on that. You can't customize the Python environment in the current version. I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add support for ciscoconfparse library in SecureCRT/Windows. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

Support for Third-Party Python Interpreters
Hi all,
As of the beta 3 release of SecureCRT version 9.0, SecureCRT now has support for third-party Python interpreters! Please test it out and let us know how it goes!
