Create Log File on demand

I would like to find out if there is an option to start/stop log on demand in SecureCRT?

I use one SecureCRT session as a jump box to log in to multiple network devices. Sometimes i need to save configuration of a device i currently logged in to a file. I would like to hit a button and start the log from this point on. Once i'm done i would like to stop it. I can do that in putty, however, in SecureCRT i was not able to find that option.

Any advice?

Thank you!

Hi semb40,

You can toggle logging on and off in SecureCRT by enabling/disabling the "Log Session" option found in the main "File" menu.

You can even create a button in SecureCRT to toggle "Log Session", should you wish.

Please refer to our YouTube video, "SecureCRT's Button Bar" for additional information on the Button Bar:
Your button configuration would look something like this:
Are you able to toggle logging on and off, as desired, given this information?
