Copy and paste error

since upgrading to version 8.1.4 when right clicking and selecting Copy and Paste I am getting an error "Could not open clipboard: Access is denied.". This doesn't happen every time it is random.

The error you're seeing is something that's almost always outside of SecureCRT's control to prevent. SecureCRT is asking the operating system for access to the clipboard; the operating system is returning the error and SecureCRT dutifully reports it to you.

What other changes took place on your system that coincide with your upgrade to version 8.1.4?

When you see this error, does it occur indefinitely within SecureCRT or does it go away after you try a few more paste operations?

What happens if you try to paste into other applications, like Notepad, etc.?

What kind of clipboard management applications do you have installed? Do you have WebRoot installed, by chance?

Thanks Jake, Looks like this is caused by running a VirtualBox VM, as the problem seems to stop and start when the VM is stopped and started. I was hoping that disabling Shared Clipboard in VBox would fix the problem but it didn't. Looks like I'll need to open a ticket with VBox. Thanks for the quick reply.
