Button Bar Scripts

All,

Can I create a script to automatically generate 5 button bars with about 8-10 buttons on each button bar.

The last time I added a few button bars, I had exported by settings, then had edited the file with Notepad ++ and used excel to generate the script based on multiple lines of data. Then copy / pasted from excel back into Notepadd ++ then imported those settings back into Secure CRT.

Although that method worked extremely well, it was alittle time consuming parsing through the original file.

It would be much easier if I can create a script to just import new button bars w/ buttons. I searched through some thread's but did not find much.

Thanks

Biernty_87,

SecureCRT does not currently support the ability to create and manipulate button bars with a script.

I have recorded your idea in our database of SecureCRT feature requests so that the product director can evaluate it for possible inclusion in a future release.

Should a version of SecureCRT become available with this feature, we will be sure to let you know.

If you would like to be notified directly please send an email to Support@VanDyke.com with "Attn Eric Forum Post 12867" in the subject line.

Can you tell me a little more about how you would use this functionality? Are you trying to provide an easy way for multiple users to import button bars?
