Telnet from R1 to R2, in separate tabs
Help needed.
I have 4 Cisco routers - R1, R2, R3, R4. I am connected to R1 via a serial console cable. From inside R1, I can telnet into all other routers. However when I open a new session(tab) and try to telnet into R2, it tries to connect and fails. Says "Connection timed out". Now my questions this: when I start a telnet session to get into R2, is SecureCRT using R1 as the telnet client or it's using my windows machine as the client? My goal is to telnet from R1(client) to R2(server) but have them on separate tabs. Possible? |

Hi mlfatty,
Thanks for the post. It is not possible to use two connections over the same Serial connection. This is likely the reason for the connection timeout you are seeing. Do you have two Serial ports on your computer? |
