Hi emoxam,

I am not quite sure what you want, but there is a way to allow only a single instance of SecureCRT to run. You would need to edit the Global.ini file to enable the option.[INDENT]To edit the Global.ini file:[INDENT]
  1. Close all instances of SecureCRT. If changes are made to the Global.ini file while SecureCRT is running, the changes made will be undone when SecureCRT is restarted.
  2. Edit the Global.ini file (located in SecureCRT's configuration folder location indicated by the Configuration folder field in the General category of the Global Options Dialog. Add/modify lines as instructed.
  3. Save the Global.ini file and start SecureCRT.
The option to modify is:
From:
D:"Single Instance"=00000000
To:
D:"Single Instance"=00000001
Does this option meet your needs?

If not, can you provide more details as to your goal and what problem you are trying to solve?

Hi emoxam,

Thanks for the update. I have created a feature request to expose the option in the GUI. Should we do so in the future, we will post to this forum thread.

If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location:
