Hi emoxam,

Are you still using Kubuntu 13.04?

Can you confirm that your OS environment doesn't already have those keys mapped to perform another function?

Thank you for fast reply!
Kubuntu 13.10. I don't know about all global hotkeys but i didn't make such a combimatuion by my own. I created ctrl+n for "clone", and ctrl+w for "close" "mapped keys", but i can't make it on ctrl+f4, it ignores me.. can you confirm that i can't make ctrl+f4 ? Or this is my missconfiguration ?

pardon! there was a global hotkey to select 4th desktop
so ctrl+f4 works by default, just delete such system hotkey.

Hi emoxam,

Thanks for posting the solution. I expect this might come in handy for others using Kubuntu.
