the color of keyword higlighting in vi

Hi,
I am using the securecrt 8.7.2 x64 on Windows 10.
Settings:
Emulation:
Terminal: XTerm
Color Mode: "ANSI with 256color" & "use color scheme" enabled.
Appearance:
Current color scheme: White / Black

Then connect to a linux server and open a text file with vi command.
In vi, search a keyword, the keyword will be highlighted.
However it is hard to read. Because the words color is still white, not become black.

The "White / Black" color scheme does not define any other colors outside of the foreground/background, so all of the other ANSI colors are defaulted to the Standard ANSI color palette. So, when your foreground color (white) is displayed with a search background color of Yellow (as your vi configuration has defined), it becomes unreadable.

One solution is to create (in Global Options -> Terminal -> Advanced) a custom color scheme based on "White / Black" (perhaps named "W / B Custom"), and set the color palette for the custom color scheme to "Invisibone", which defines Yellow as more of a salmon/skin tone on which a white foreground is more visible. For example:

Hi Sir,
Thanks for the suggestion.
The solution is a workaround to change the background color of keyword to other color instead of yellow. I have tried it and yes it can make the keyword readable but still not what I want.

Actually I also have another Win10 computer where the securecrt 7.3.4 installed. In that computer, the keyword highlight in vi, the word color will become black other than white even through the highlight background is yellow. That make it easy readable. Please see the picture.

Both securecrt color settings are same. The only difference is the version.

I would like to gather some additional information from you about the behavior.

Does the issue only occur with this particular remote host, or with multiple hosts?

I would like to review the session ini file from your 7.3.4 version as well as the corresponding session ini file from 8.7.2.

Your session.ini files live in your Config folder, within the "Sessions" subfolder. The path to your Config folder can be reviewed in Options -> Global Options -> Configuration Paths.

Before running 'vi', what are the results of the following command when you are connected to the host with version 8.7.x?

echo $TERM

And what are your results if you run the same command, but when connected to the same remote host with version 7.2.3?
