SecureCRT 6.5 (beta) highlighting

from the releasenotes :
Quote:
- Added an option that allows words to be specified in a list so
that they can be highlighted as they appear in the session.
Any hints where I can find this ?

The keyword highlighting options can be found in the Session Options dialog in the Terminal / Appearance category.

Thanks, would have been nice to have a search while a session is connected.

It sounds like you want to do a regular find. If that's the case, there's a Find on the Edit menu. If I misunderstood your request, please let me know.

Hello i am trying the new 6.5 SecureCRT and i like the option of highlighting . Is there a way to have 2 or 3 keyword list to run at the same time and also to choose to add some color to them?
i am asking because i work with Cisco devices and when we troubleshoot these devices, is very helpful to have some words or values highlighted with differenet color. Something like some text editors use.
Thank you.

It's not currently possible to add color, but I've added your forum post to our product enhancement request database and if we add color highlighting to a future release we'll post a follow up message here. If you would like e-mail notification as well, please let us know and refer to forum thread 4160.

The ability to specify colors for keyword highlighting has been added to a pre-beta version of SecureCRT. If you would be interested in trying it, please send email to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.

No I mean it would be nice to turn on highlighting for a word if the session is already connected.
Now I have to disconnect, turn on higlighting and reconnect.

You shouldn't have to disconnect to turn on highlighting. I just did a test and it worked for me. It highlighted all the words in my list including what was on the screen and in the scrollback. Are you seeing different behavior?
