Can I search the connection descriptions?

All;
I am using SecureCRT 7.2.4 and have dozens and dozens of login sessions created. My question is this. In the session descriptions, I have my notes on each profile. Is it somehow possible to search through all of the descriptions? Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks;
Frank

Hi Frank.

There is a way to do a search, but it may not be what you
want. If you open your session manager, you can click on
the binocular icon (find) to open the "Find session" dialog.
You can de-select all of the options except the Description
option and type a word that you are looking for.

Once you've performed the search, pressing F3 will cycle
through matching sessions that have the term in the
Description field.

Will that functionality be sufficient for what you are
trying to do?

Thanks

JJH

I have put all the model names of various cisco devices in the description.

Is there a function where, if i type in "C3560X-48T-S" it will bring up every device with that description? this should be added.

This will make automating tasks (like updates) easier. Will also make it so users don't have to duplicate sessions based on different attributes.

We could just specify something int he description and then search that specification to bring up a group of devices.

Austin
