Question Help With Highlighting

Hi,

I just bought your product with 3 year license. Is it possible for you to help me create keywords for highlighting that will create a similar effect to the one that is shared by the user in the following forum post:

https://forums.vandyke.com/showthrea...t=11257&page=2
Post # 19 on this page.
The output is shown in the images (re-posting the link)

As I mentioned I just shifted so your help in this matter will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Usama

Hi Usama,

Thanks for the post and purchase.

Here is a post by Casey where he freely shares his keyword list:

Does this help you accomplish your goal?

Question

Yes it helps me get on the right track but the ones i shared were against a black background. I am using the traditional template so if you could help with those or point me in the right direction for creating this template file.

As a suggestion, you can create a small sub program for the SecureCrt in which you can copy paste a sample output and select different areas and color them the way you like and let the sub program create the highlight.ini file with the regex pattern for you. I am not sure if that is possible but just a suggestion.

Thanks

This seems possible, but I am not sure how probable it is that such a feature would be implemented. I have created a feature request. We will post to this forum thread if we add this ability.

I am glad it helps.

We have a tip on using color in SecureCRT which may be useful in defining your color scheme:

Does this help?

Did you have any specific questions about manipulating the keyword list that Casey has posted?

If not, do you have any specific questions about using keyword color highlighting in general?

Hi,

Thanks again. I am getting the hang of it. I will manage from the Casy's word list and see where it leads me.
Kindly let me know if the feature ever gets implemented.

Thanks

Hi Usama,

Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear that you are becoming comfortable with modifying your keyword list.

As mentioned, we will post to this thread if we add the ability to do some sort of WYSIWYG keyword list generation feature.

Additionally, if you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location:
