Multi-homed System

Question:

If I set the ListenV4Addresses property to a specific IP address, will the software also respond to connections using only that IP address. I need this functionality on a multihomed server with a single NIC. I need it to respond only on the second IP address for NAT reasons.

Thanks.

Thumbs up "Listen V4 Addresses" VShell registry entry

Yes, this should work.

Please note the following:
1) Make sure the VShell control panel is not open while changing this registry entry (it may overwrite the value when you close the control panel).
2) This registry entry is multi-string (unicode), which is important if you are editing it in hex.
3) The value "0.0.0.0" means listen on all addresses.
4) You must restart the VShell service for a change to take effect.

Are you experiencing any problems using "Listen V4 Addresses"?
