Keyboard Interactive Authentication Pop-up

Is there a way to disable the Keyboard Interactive Authentication Pop-Up and just use the screen to login? I prefer to use keyboard shortcuts to login.
Yes I know that isn't the most secure but my PC is locked up and has the hard drive encrypted. I know the stupid pop-up is not required as Putty which is free
does not do it.

Hello sfaid.

There currently isn't a way to disable the Keyboard
Interactive popup. I have created an entry for you in our
feature request database. We will post something here,
should a version of SecureCRT become available with the
ability to enter your keyboard interactive credentials in
the SecureCRT window.

If you would like us to contact you via e-mail, please send
e-mail to support@vandyke.com and reference this forum
thread.

If you have control over the server, you should be able to
allow Password authentication, which will allow you to save
your username and password in your session. You can also
automate authentication with Public Key authentication.

Thank you

JJH

I would have to agree with sfaid on this request. It would be nice to input all the necessary credential informaiton directly through the emulator like when using the vsh.exe executable. I would say that it also needs the ability to support the "new host key" options of accept once, accept & save, or cancel. This way if you do not want to populate your "known hosts" table, then you do not have to.

Hi mekanik

I have also created an entry in our feature request database
for you too. If you would like to be informed via e-mail,
should a version of SecureCRT become available with the
ability to display the request for credentials in the
SecureCRT window, please send e-mail to support@vandyke.com
and reference this forum thread.

Thanks

An option for entering logon information in the session window has been added to SecureCRT 6.1, which is in pre-beta testing. If you would be interested in trying it, please send e-mail to me at Maureen.Jett@vandyke.com.

Hi Maureen,
i see that this thread is pretty old but unfortunately i am facing the same issue. Can you pls advise if i can somehow use 'scripts' to login and do some pre defined stuff in a server. The server allows keyboard interactive popup for password and i cant seem to get around this prblem.

Thanks.
Regards,
Tem

Hello Temoor,

Are you using SecureCRT 6.1.x or later?

If so, have you enabled 'Display logon prompts in terminal window' in the Connection / Logon Actions category of SecureCRT's Session Options?

If those two requirements are met (and Keyboard Interactive authentication configured), then using a series of "WaitForString" and "Send" commands should succeed in automating your logon.
