Can you change the version of python SecureCRT runs on?
Hello,
I'm aware of the script provided that you may use to check the version of Python SecureCRT runs on. I've always noticed that SecureCRT (or at least my builds) has always run on Python 2.7. Is there anyway to change this to have it run on a different version of Python instead? Like 3.7? Thanks! |

Hi pjano1,
SecureCRT does not currently support Python 3.7, however it looks like our Development team has recently made progress on the implementation of support for Python 3. Would Python 3 work better for you than Python 2.7? I have reached out to the SecureCRT Product Director for additional information. I will let you know if a pre-release version is available for testing that supports Python version 3.

Yes Python 3 would be fine, it better supports the infrastructure I'm working on. Let me know if you have anything compatible with Python 3

Hi pjano1,
I would like to make a pre-release version available for your testing. Can you please send an email to support@vandyke.com with "ATTN: Brittney, Forum Thread #14151" in the subject field. Please provide the email address associated with your VanDyke Software download account if it differs from the account that you write in from.
