Are you connecting to the same session in all tabs, or different sessions?

Same sessions can share a single log file, but different sessions currently use different log files. I've added your posts to our request database and we will post a follow up message if a future release of SecureCRT supports this. If you would like to receive e-mail notification, please let us know and refer to forum thread #10523.

Hi g114112118s,

I noticed that you wanted multiple sessions to log to the same log file. It is actually possible to log to the same file if you enable a session
.ini only option. Here is the line you would need to modify in all session .ini files you want to log to the same log file:
From:
D:"Log Multiple Sessions"=00000000
To:
D:"Log Multiple Sessions"=00000001
To edit a session's .ini file:
  1. Close all instances of SecureCRT. If changes are made to a session's .ini file while SecureCRT is running, the changes made will be undone when SecureCRT is restarted.
  2. Edit the session's .ini file (located in the Sessions subfolder of SecureCRT's configuration folder location indicated by the "Configuration folder" field in the 'General' category of the Global Options dialog. Add/modify lines as instructed.
  3. Save the session's .ini file and start SecureCRT.

Note: If you have a /f in the target of the shortcut used to launch SecureCRT, then the path to the Config folder will be different than the path in step 2 above.
