8.0 Beta - SSH over VPN

I realize 8.0 is still in beta, but figured I'd report a strange issue that I'm having. With both Beta 1 and 2 releases, whenever I connect to a network over a VPN my SSH sessions take an extremely long time to connect. Sometimes they never connect at all.

However if I open up terminal and use SSH from there, works just fine.

I should also mention that 7.x works just fine too.
