I just installed secure crt 5.5 on my new win 7 laptop. My old laptop was the same exact model and with win 7 and had a working secure crt 5.5. I am trying to connect on my new one, and the "unsave password" is greyed out, so i cannot enter the password. I am the sole admin on this laptop. How can i "ungrey" the option?

Hello slicerpro,
I have responded to your e-mail inquiry. For the sake of others that may read this thread, it is likely this user's organization has administratively disabled saving passwords. Requesting an administrative template to be able to configure administrative options can be done via the URL(s) that are found in SecureCRT's Help file under the topic System Administration Issues / Administrative Template. As a note, the first version of SecureCRT with official Windows 7 support is SecureCRT 6.5.

It finally let me input my password. 5.5 is and has been working perfectly on my windows 7 and it is the one certified by our corp sec guys. Also, the whole time I have administrator rights on the laptop.
