Is there a way to hide protocl in quick connection?

I've been worked in this industry for 5 years, and I've never used TAPI protocol. I want to remove or hide TAPI in protocol selection, because it distrubs me when I want to select telnet protocol via hot key(ALT + P -> T).

I'm using SecureCRT Version 7.0.2.

Wow! Talk about getting a lot of mileage over the last 5 years from a version of SecureCRT that hasn't been in active development for nearly 8 years. What a great success story!

First/fastest solution:
If you don't want TAPI to show up as a protocol, simply close SecureCRT, and remove the TAPI.dll file from SecureCRT's program files install folder.

More robust solution:
To prevent TAPI from coming back in the event of an upgrade, you can modify your install so that the TAPI protocol is not included. ("Apps and Features", select SecureCRT app, press [Modify] button, etc.)

Furthermore:
If you use Telnet a lot, consider making it the stock protocol in the Default session, so that your Quick Connect protocol is already set to Telnet -- thus reducing the amount of keystrokes needed overall.

Finally:
I'm curious... what has prevented you from upgrading to a newer version version of SecureCRT all these years?
