SHA-2 Certificate and SecureFX

Hello,
We have received a request to use SHA-2 certificate with SSL file transfer. I cannot find how to import the certificate into SecureFX. The certificate has three files with .cer extensions, they imported into the browser SSL cert store just fine, but the connection still fails.

Is it so simple that I just do not see it? Or capability is not there? The searches bring VShell, but not SecureFX. The help will be greatly appreciated.

SecureFX version 7.3.2 (x64 build 752)

Hi alevkov,

Thanks for the post.

SecureFX looks at the Trusted Root Certification Authorities in the Windows certificate store to determine if a certificate is valid.

Did you import the certificates into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities?

Thank you Todd,
Yes, I did import the certs, but connection still failed. The partner requires specific ports, not 21, so the issue might be there. I will contact our firewall maintenance people to check that.

Hi alevkov,

Thanks for the update.

Please send an email to support@vandyke.com with a subject of Attn: Todd - Forum thread #12126.

Please include the serial number for your SecureFX license.

Also attach a log file reflecting a failing connection.

You can enable logging in the File Transfer / Options / Advanced category of the Global Options dialog.
