Can you please advise how I can troubleshoot this issue? We are using the following command to copy files:
SFXCL.EXE /F "ConfigLocation" /S "SourceName" SourceLocation/*.* DestinationLocation /Overwrite Older /NoPrompt /RetryCount 0 /AcceptHostKeys /LOG LogLocation\SecureFX_Writing.log

There is a scheduled task that runs the batch file but then gets stuck in a running state because of this issue. We then have to manually stop the task and restart. This issue happens intermittently but we don't know why.

Hi kron,

Right off the bat I can see your SFXCL syntax is malformed:

SFXCL.EXE /F "ConfigLocation" /S "SourceName" SourceLocation/*.* DestinationLocation /Overwrite Older /NoPrompt /RetryCount 0 /AcceptHostKeys /LOG LogLocation\SecureFX_Writing.log

While it may succeed once, it may succeed many times or it even may succeed every single time, it's a good idea to follow the syntax as stated in SecureFX's Help file, which is:
sfxcl [options] source destination

In your command-line, everything from /Overwrite to the end of the line should come before /S.

There is a great tip about SFXCL automation on our website here.

I will need additional info to troubleshoot this issue and it might contain sensitive data so please send an email to support@vandyke.com and include "Attn Brenda - Forum Thread #13041".

Please include:
  • Version of SecureFX
  • Serial Number
  • OS it is installed on
  • Complete SFXCL log
