Installing SecureCRT on another linux

Hello,

I'm looking to find out how I can install SecureCRT on another linux version other that Redhat or Ubuntu. I have a RedCore Linux, which uses Gentoo, installed and would very much like to be able to use SecureCRT on it.

Anyone ever get SecureCRT working on something other than RH or Ubuntu?

Thnx

Hi Lazydog,

I don't have any specific steps for Gentoo, perhaps someone in the community has experience with it, but we have had many customers report they have successfully installed on other unsupported implementations such as Debian, Fedora, Suse, etc.

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to port SecureCRT to Gentoo Linux. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #14067 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
