Cool Script syntax

I'm very new to scripting. Can I call a vbscript from a crt.session.connect, and if so, what is the syntax? Thanks in advance!!

Hi dastubbs,

Well, no, because the only place you are going to use crt.session.connect is *in a script*, right?

Are you saying you want to call a script from within another script?

What are you trying to accomplish?

I definitely recommend checking out Scripting Essentials on our website.

Thanks for your reply, Brenda.

I'm trying to automate Securecrt to start a session and dial a modem so I can backup a phone pbx. I have the backup vbscript working once I'm connected, I just need to automate the dialing and call this backup script.
Thanks!

Hi dastubbs,

See this other post for an alternative. We sometimes recommend substituting Serial protocol for TAPI because it is often a more stable alternative.
