Log directly to Clipboard

Is it possible to log directly to the clipboard so that I don't have to create an intermediate file, then select and copy everything in the file?

Thanks

Hi cleme1q,

I am not aware of a way to log to the clipboard. Can you tell me what problem this would help you solve?

What is your overall goal?

I often have to take data from a system and load it into excel. Rather than transferring files or using cat to create the log file locally and then open the log file, etc.... It would be nice to cat directly to the clipboard so I can paste into excel without the extra steps.

Thx

Hi cleme1q,

It sounds like there may be a scripting solution for you. You can find example scripts that illustrate how to use SecureCRT with Excel in the following forum thread:
http://forums.vandyke.com/showthread...8306#post38306
Do you think this might work for you?

If not, would you be interested in using a script to try and solve this problem?

I have also created a feature request in our SecureCRT enhancement database to add the option to log to the clipboard. Should we add this feature in a future SecureCRT release, we will post to this forum thread.

If you would like to be notified directly, please complete and submit the form at the following location:
