1152 Error extracting to the temporary location

Hi,

just wanted to update to the latest beta 7.2 (Beta2) x64 on Windows Server 2008 R2. Ended all running instances and got the error mentioned in the topic independent of the path I executed the installer from.
Any ideas?

Thx!
Klefisch

Hi Klefisch,

Thanks for reporting the problem. We will need more information to assist with this issue. Please send an email to support@vandyke.com with a subject of Attn: Todd - Install error 1152 and the following information:
  • The type of user account installing SecureCRT.
  • The location of the installer.
  • An installation log file. You can obtain a log file using the following:
    scrt72b2-x64.exe /v"/l*v install.log"

Hi All,

It turns out that somehow the installer Klefisch was using had been corrupted during or after it was downloaded.

If you see this error, here are some things to check:
  • Verify that the TEMP folder is writable.
  • Verify that there is enough disk space on the hard drive where the files are being extracted.
  • Verify that the executable is not corrupted.
