Securecrt and Centest

Anyone here in the Telco industry would know what a Centest is.
I have a problem with the way SecureCRT connects with a Centest.
Basically a Centest is a way of testing DS1/3 circuits from a DACS4 cross connect. One of the tests is a loopback. It sends out a loop code (of your choice) and while its sending the command a new line appears at the bottom of the terminal that flashes a "test in progress" then either a "confirmed" or "not corfirmed".
This bottom line does not appear when connected with securecrt.
Is anyone from VanDyke familiar with any of this??
I'd love to get this corrected because this is the only piece of equipment we have that I have to use another terminal for.

Hello Frunple,

I'm not familiar with Centest equipment but if information is not appearing then a raw log should help us see what is being sent from the server and determine why it's not appearing.

Could you send a SecureCRT raw log file to support@vandyke.com and include forum 6864 in the subject line of the message?

To create a raw log:
1. Before connecting with the session, select "Raw Log Session" from SecureCRT's "File" menu.

2. In the "Select Log File" dialog, choose a folder and filename in which you would like the log text to be stored and press the "Save" button. At this point, if you open the "File" menu, you will notice that the "Raw Log Session" menu item now has a check-mark next to it; this indicates that raw logging is activated.

3. Now connect to the remote machine and perform the actions which cause the reported problem to occur.

4. Once the problem occurs, disconnect the session and select "Raw Log Session" from the "File" menu to turn off the raw logging feature.

5. Browse to the location of the raw log file and add the file as an attachment to your e-mail reply.
