logs on SecCRT

Hi

I have a question on different switch from secureCRT to logs
like %H, %S etc.

Right now i name log files
%Y%M%D_%h_%m_%H_%S.log

I have different customers and I create the ssh sessions under each customer folders. So my question is is there any way to include the folderName on log files to differentiate and easy to find all logs file for a particular folder (==customerName)
Like

%Folder_%Y%M%D_%h_%m_%H_%S.log

Thanks !

Hi usa,

As of version 8.3 SecureCRT does support the use of %F, this will become the directory path starting below the "Sessions" folder. This can help you automatically create a folder tree and place your log files inside folders that match the layout of the folders in your Session Manager.

This would look something like:

Code:
%F\%Y%M%D_%h_%m_%H_%S.log
This would create a folder structure that matches your Session Managers and place a log file inside with a name of:

Code:
%Y%M%D_%h_%m_%H_%S.log
This feature only supports creation of folders, it cannot be used to add the folder name the actual log file name.

Would placing log files for each of your customers in their own folder give you the needed functionality?
