Transfer queue and excessive refreshing

When transferring multiple files directly, the destination listing is refreshed after the selected files have all been transferred, but when using the queue, the list is refreshed after every file is transferred. It needs a way to at least keep track of the batches and refresh after each batch.

What I'm doing now is uploading multiple images from several different directories, but I didn't want too many threads going at once, so I turned on the queue, but the refreshing after every image is slowing it down, plus it makes it hard to drag the next set of files because I have to catch it between refreshes. Half the files are thumbnails so the list is constantly refreshing. I ended up choosing to not use the queue and just do 4 batches at a time.

The queue is a great addition to the product. For the last few years I've used SecureFX and occasionally a different FTP program where it met my needs better, but in the last several months, SecureFX has reduced my frequency of needing the other program. The transfer queue was one of the main reasons I used the other program. Fix the constant refreshing issue, and the only time I will ever use my other program will be when I need to limit the transfer speed, until that feature is added to SecureFX.

Hi PWSowner,

Thank you for your feature requests for SecureFX.

I have add this post to the request for an option to disable the automatic refresh when transferring files using the queue and to the request to be able to throttle the file transfer in SecureFX.

If either of these options are added to a future release of SecureFX, a post will be made here.

If you would prefer to be contacted via email, please send me a message and reference this forum thread (2175).
