Hello Itay.

Yes, you can share a common Config folder by putting a
Config folder on a network location. Each user who needs to
use that Config folder can open their Global Options for
SecureCRT to the General category and put the UNC path to
that Config folder in the "Configuration Folder" text box.
Normally, that text box would show the default path to the
Config folder, which is:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\VanDyke\Config

Alternatively, the users can each create a special shortcut
that launches SecureCRT and uses the shared Config folder.
It is possible to specify an alternate config folder when
you launch SecureCRT by using the /F flag. Try doing the
following:
  • First, make a copy of the shortcut you usually use to
    launch SecureCRT on your desktop
  • Right click the new
shortcut and choose Properties. You should see that the
    Target path points to SecureCRT.exe
  • edit the Target path
to use the /F flag to specify the shared Config folder on
your server. The Target should now look something like
    this:
C:\Program Files\SecureCRT\SecureCRT.exe /F \\Myserver\SecureCRT\Config

When you use this new shortcut to launch SecureCRT, it
should be using your shared Config folder, even though the
default Config folder is still listed in your Global
Options.

It would probably be a good idea to make the Config folder
"Read Only" for all users so that they can't make changes to
the sessions that will affect everyone.

Is this the information you were looking for?

Thank you
JJH
