Question Is Zmodem's transfers supposed to be slower than SFTP, SCP, etc.?

Hello.

I noticed transferring files with Z-modem protocols (sz and rz commands in Linux's shell accounts), through SSH2 in SecureCRT, is slower than using SCP, (S)FTP, etc. Is this normal?

Question Upgraded 64-bit Linux box to Fedora Core v22, but can't SSH2 into it.

Not at this time since I don't have the budget to upgrade yet. I will stick with PuTTY for now. I only use SecureCRT for its SSH2 and Z-modem file transfer support so... Thanks though.

I assume how sz was installed for implementation. I believe the administrator installed it with apt-get command.
