thanks for the advice - it works well.

crt.quit asks the user if they want to quit CRT while end sub just quietly ends the script. I'll have to make a small message box to give them...

Does CRT have an equivalent to WScript.Quit?

one more thing -

I noticed on repeated use that the open dialog box does not always stay on top of the CRT window. Is there a way to force the browse dialog to stay on top?
