Repositories For Linux

I don't know what percentage of your users are on Ubuntu or Fedora, and the native first class support of Linux is highly appreciated. However, has there ever been any consideration of making a Ubuntu apt and Fedora dnf repository available for native updates?

I understand you may lose out on tons of data from having to manually download updates, and I'm not sure how you'd handle license expirations. There is a native way to expose the repository over FTP with Ubuntu at least, which can require unique usernames and passwords.

I doubt this will be something you guys take on, but definitely would increase quality of life for us Linux users.

Hi SajanP,

I have added this thread to a feature request in our product enhancement database to add support for APT/Yum/dnf repository to SecureCRT for Linux. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here.

If you prefer direct email notification, send an email to support@vandyke.com and include Feature Request - Forum Thread #14111 in the subject line or use this form from the support page of our website.
