Transfer with old version and Windows 7

I recently moved from Windows XP to 7. I had been using CRT 3.05 to connect to a remote computer, but when that wasn't working too well, I installed 5.22, the last free upgrade to which my license entitles me. The latter works fine, almost, for what I need. The one thing it won't let me do, is download files from the remote computer, even though it lets me upload with no problem.

The remote computer is an Alpha using dumb terminals; I connect via modem. The command prompt I used for downloading is sz (rz is for uploading), in case that tells you anything.

Anyone have any ideas about resolving this?
