Convert Procomm to SecureCRT

Is there any converter created from taking Procomm scripts and converting them into Secure CRT format? I'm not seeing anything in the forum or via a Google search. The basic scripts were easy to edit. I have some very detailed Procomm scripts that I need in Secure CRT.

Hello,

We do not currently provide a ProComm script converter or way of running ProComm scripts. However, I've added your forum post to our product enhancement request database so that we can consider adding a script converter to a future version of SecureCRT. If added, we'll post a follow up message to this forum thread. If you'd also like e-mail notification, please let us know.

ProComm scripts can be pretty easy to convert once the equivalent SecureCRT function call and equivalent syntax are known. Many of the Aspect scripts we've seen basically need to send text, receive text, and do something conditionally based on the text that the script detects. We may be able to help you find the right function to use in place of your existing functions. Would you like to send one of your scripts to support@vandyke.com with subject "Forum 4679 Attn Mike" so that I can take a look and see if I can provide any hints about converting the script?

Thanks lm63,

I've added your post to our request database and we'll post a message to this thread if we implement a conversion utility. If you'd like email notification should this be implemented, or would like for us to take a look at the script, please let us know. If you would like to send a script for us to review and see if we can help provide conversion suggestions, please send it to support@vandyke.com with subject "Forum 4679 Attn Mike".

Converter request

I know it sounds great to have a converter, but to what language. SecureCRT supports any scripting language that will interface with ActiveX. Thus far we have jscript, vbscript and perl. Given the complexities of supporting all three languages, I'm not certain that it could be done. I would look forward first to an external API access to SecureCRT. This allows for even more powerful tools to access the automation routines that SecureCRT can provide.
