Ctrl-F4 to close tabs
Am I right in saying this is not configurable?
I would prefer Ctrl-w simply to line up with browser tab action. |

Hi slouw,
It is possible to map Ctrl+W to close a tab using the following steps:
As a note, we don't usually map Ctrl accelerators (hotkeys) because remote UNIX applications often require the use of Ctrl keys to send signals/commands depending on the remote application. For example, Ctrl+W in a bash shell is often the default for deleting the previously typed word, but mapping Ctrl+W to close a tab could cause the loss of data and work performed when one only wanted to delete a previously typed word.Does this help to answer your question? |

Hi Todd
Thanks. Indeed thinking about it the same function (Ctrl-w) exists for Cisco IOS which has a UNIX character. I use it alot. Is it possible to make Ctrl-w do something different when the current tab is not connected? The UNIX/IOS function would then not apply... I doubt it but anyway thanks for any further feedback. |

Hi slouw,
It is not currently possible to define Ctrl+W to perform differently based on the connection state of a session. Because of this, it is possible to map functions to different combinations of keys. For example:
