Moving SecureCRT to different workstation
All;
I'd like to migrate all of my SecureCRT settings, sessions, etc from one workstation to a new one. The best that I can tell, if I install the application on the new machine and then copy everything in the directories C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\VanDyke and C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\SecureCRT\Scripts, I should probably be OK. I'm hesitant though because I probably have over 200 different sessions defined along with everything else and I cant afford to lose anything. Thanks; Frank |

Hi Frank,
Yes, you are on the right track. This tip on our website details how to copy the SecureCRT config. In addition to any scripts you use, you will want to copy any public/private key pairs to the new machine if you use public-key authentication. By default, host keys of remote SSH servers are in a Known Hosts folder within the Config folder. Less likely to have been customized, but two other items to consider (stored in the installation folder):
