Retrieving File From SFTP On Cisco
Hello Experts,
I've copied the running configs on a cisco to sftp, but I don't know where sftp stores the running configs on the router. Neither do I know how to retrieve the file and copy it to my PC. Can someone provide guidance? Cheers Carlton |

Hi Carlton,
Experts on VanDyke Software products, yes; on Cisco devices, not so much. ![]() Quote:
What is the version of the VanDyke Software product (Help / About <Product...>)? What exact steps have you taken thus far with the VanDyke Software product you are using?

Hello Carlton,
We have partial success. You gave the operating system and version. What VanDyke Software product are you using? What exact steps have you taken thus far with the VanDyke Software product you are using?

Hi carltonp,
Thanks for that information. Quote:
The Cisco device would need to have an SFTP server in order for you to transfer files via SFTP with SecureCRT. Does the Cisco router have an SFTP server? As a note, official support for Windows 7 began with version 6.5. You might want to check your upgrade eligibility here. We might make better progress via a phone call. Feel free to call the number below if you prefer.
