Easy way to SSH Tunnels
I would like to know if there is an easy way to create ssh tunnels? Adding them one at a time through the dialog is very cumbersome. I'm try to create a set of tunnels the vary as follows:
Local Remote 9811 ---> server1:8880 9812 ---> server1:8881 9821 ---> server2:8880 9822 ---> server2:8881 . . . 9881 ---> server8:8880 9882 ---> server8:8881 I have to do this for 8 servers over multiple environments. It would be nice to have a duplicate function on the dialog to add a tunnel. Bobby |

Hi Bobby,
Are you going through one Gateway Server to access these remote servers? If so, dynamic port forwarding might be a better option for you. There is a document detailing how to set up dynamic port forwarding available from our website here. Otherwise, I would be happy to create a feature request in our development database for a "copy" or "duplicate" option to be available in addition to the 'Add/Edit/Delete' options in the 'Connection / Port Forwarding' (and 'Connection / Port Forwarding / Remote/X11') categories of SecureCRT. Will dynamic port forwarding work in your usage scenario?

I don't think this will work for me. I tried to setup a connection this way, but I'm not getting a response from the JBoss server. I had my connection setup to listen on 127.0.0.3:8880. 8880 is the port the jboss servers are listening on.
I think the feature request is a good idea. Thanks, Bobby |

Hello Bobby,
I have added this thread to a feature request in our development database for the addition of a "copy" or "duplicate" option to the port forwarding categories. Should a future release of SecureCRT include this feature, notification will be posted here. If you prefer direct e-mail notification, contact support@vandyke.com and include "Feature Request - Forum Thread #4832" in the subject line.
