Is there a way to configure SecureCRT to use the Green/Black Appearance setting for command line stuff, but when you go to VI a .c file ... get the ANSI color breakdown of the code?
I have a developer here that will switch to SecureCRT if it can do that. Presently he is using Putty, which does this.

Thanks for the request. We have had a number of requests for this functionality. I have added it to the list of features to be considered for 5.1.

Hi,
Is this functionality yet available?
Sorry to be a n00b but I've just downloaded a trial of 6.0.2 and I can't find this as an option? Is it somewhere that I have not yet found?
Putty is the application I would compare SecureCRT to and the only differences of any consequence to me are that SecureCRT is tabbed and I would benefit greatly from having that functionality. However, the colour differentiation of files such as .php that Putty offers and that SecureCRT seems not to far outweighs the benefit of tabbing.

Hi sastrugi,
This feature was implemented in a past release of SecureCRT (5.2.2 I believe).
Are you running a version later that 5.2.2?
If so, are you having problems seeing ANSI colors with a customer color scheme?

Hi,
I'm using 6.0.2
Its not so much the ANSI colouring that I'm thinking about (which is working for me) but the colour breakdown of code when viewed in VIM, as per the op's original question:
but when you go to VI a .c file ... get the ANSI color breakdown of the code?
In my case I'm looking for the colour breakdown of the code when editing a .php file.

Steve

Hi sastrugi,
Regarding your question, the color breakdown is usually handled by the server, which then sends escape sequences to tell the client to color text a certain way.
Are you able to see the code color breakdown when actually logged onto the console of the machine?
